Emerald Coast

East of Mobile there is long and little-known stretch of the white beaches, dense forests, bays and state parks. It is already Florida State. I was driving many hours on almost empty highway 98. Beaches are empty too – so it is ideal place who want to escape from the crowds. I spent the night in Panama City (not that Panama in Panama!). Rodeway Inn here has great service and excellent internet. Before going onward east it is worth to buy a petrol (1,89 per gallon) – it will cost more as you go along the little coastal villages. Port St Joe (funny name, isn’t it?) has little lighthouse and boats catching the shrimp. Then there are kilometers of lovely pine forests. Very little traffic, so you can enjoy the views of Emerald Coast.20151126_204737
