North Carolina is more hilly then its South sister. I was driving many hours through lovely forests to get to Charlotte – the biggest city of North Carolina. It has a little “island” of the shiny skyscrapers forming the downtown. But just few block away – around Pine Street you will find an old quarter of colonial mansions. And this is the place where you can park the car free for 2 hours – just enough to take a walk around. Charlotte is a second (after NY) banking center in USA. It is also the northernmost point of my trip. I am turning back to the south!
