Sunday on Gwadeloupe

Ufff! A crowd of black-skin citizens of French West Indies boarded the ship yesterday and in the eateries we experience loud conversations, lack of some food and the noise… I escaped the ship already at 10 am. I was afraid that the supermarket where I am always buying my favorite rum will be closed on Sunday morning but not – it was open and I bought 1 liter of 50 pc for just 11 euro – this is what you pay on the ship for one drink! In St Peter and Paul cathedral I attended Sunday mass enjoying fantastic singing of the choir, accompanied by local instruments. Then on the main Victoire Square there were a kind of procession of the people representing parishes of Gwadeloupe in national costumes, with music. Orgy of colors, dances and smiles (each parish wear different colors! They have jazz festival this evening, but we will leave at 6 pm…. Great and lucky day anyway!
