Voyager’s new season…

I am starting a new season of traveling the world! First, it will be a short trip to the mountains of Romania. I have been to this country many times, but I used local transport to get there. This effectively prevented me from reaching the higher parts of the South Carpatian Mountains. This time, a rental car will allow me to reach the high passes…
The journey will begin with low-cost flights: first from Gdansk to London, and then on to the not-so-discoverable Targu Mures airport in Transylvania. After spending the night and visiting the supposedly charming town, we will drive along two picturesque roads crossing the highest Romanian mountains. There are two scenic roads there, climbing to passes above 2000 meters: Transfogaras and Transalpina There will also be a section of the route among the monasteries of Bukovina, which can be called a sentimental journey – I traveled it with a backpack in 1972 – more than 50 years ago! Let’s just hope the weather is good!
