In the Lonely
Planet guide it was written that there is a regular ferry sailing from Coron to San
Jose on Mindoro Island. St Nicolas Shipping… When I arrived to Coron they
said hat there wee no sailings to San Jose since 3 years…. But I
found another solution to cross Mindoro Strait: a little pumpboat or bangka
– how they call a little boats with outriggers… Look at the map below – it
is short distance! – you think… In fact it is 6 hours sailing through the
sea where a piracy happened…

przewodnika Lonely Planet było napisane, że z Coron do San Jose kursuje prom
kompanii St Nicolas Shipping. Kiedy przypłynąłem do Coron okazało się, że
ten prom nie kursuje od trzech lat. Na szczęście znalazłem inną
możliwość przepłynięcia Cieśniny Mindoro: mały pumpboat albo bangka – jak
miejscowi nazywają małe łodzie z bocznymi pływakami. Popatrzcie na mapkę
poniżej – to niby niewielki dystans, a w rzeczywistości aż 6 godzin żeglugi
po akwenie, w którym zdarzają się pirackie napady…
