Sunny birthday in Tokyo

Dear Friends from all over the world! Thanks a lot for the birthday wishes sent to me via internet!
It was sunny and lovely day – at the beginning the Japaneese young lady – the receptionist from the hostel – kissed me wishing me happy birthday. Then I took a walk to the nearby Asakusa Temple – the most important in Tokyo. It was Sunday and there were a lot of local people – the opportunity to take interesting pictures. I spent the rest of the day walking around Ueno Park and Emperors Palace: after 26 years I cannot see many changes. But the Japaneese – they changed: they are looking tired, smile less and almost all of them keep now mobile phones in their hands. Japan is very expensive: the last expensive train from Narito airport to the downtown will cost you 1000 yen, a pound of bread cost almost 2 USD, the shortes subway ride: 160 yen.
In the evening I was waiting in the hostel for GS members to celebrate my birthday but nobody came. So I celebrated the event with other travellers staying in the hostel: I got birthday flower and told some travel stories from my voyages through 7 continents. Lovely day – and what a place!
