In the morning our ship entered the canal crossing the Nederlands to Amsterdam. Sunny, warm day. We were sailing till 1 pm when we docked in Amsterdam Cruise Terminal. Bye-bye Magellan! It took me only 20 minutes to walk to the Amsterdam Central Station. I wanted to leave my pack in the locker ant took a walk around old town. Aha! They have lockers, but in the area reserved for rail passengers. So first you have to buy the ticket, go through the gate and put your stuff to the locker. Big locker housing two carry- ons costs 10 euros up to 24 hours, they accept credit cards… Then you can go out and again in for the same rail ticket to Schiphol Airport…
Wow! Amsterdam today was full of sun, of tourists and flowers. I have been here several times, but the city never was so bright. It was nice to stroll along the canals, to see the ladies in the windows around Oude Kirk and the barges saiing under the bridges…
After few hours I returned to the station to collect my luggage and take my train to the airport. Sorry, no wi-fi in the train but you will have good, unlimited and free connection on the platform of Schiphol station.
I am waiting for my flight to Gdansk. Another interesting voyage is almost over…
