It is green and lush French Island. I am here third time during this year, but it is still nice to walk narrow streets dotted by colonial buildings. In the old port I found the same shell vendor. Marche is full of cinammon trees bark and vanila. And the black- skin people still do not smile. Huge baobab and mango trees impressed me again in the main square near the old port.
For the first time I found the huge Peter & Paul cathedral open. It is interesting, but in the poor shape. It seems that nobody is ready to give the money for restauration of this historic building.
The tourist office workers are present in the old city and the port terminal, but they still do not have any city or island maps – why it is not possible to have them for tourists like in the nearby Martinique?
