Summer, what a time! I am spending wonderful Polish summer as usual in my Wojtkówka, enjoying my the flowers, fresh greens, vegetables quickly growing on the beds and babbling birds. I sleep with pleasure in my cottage, saving time and money and enjoying the silence of every morning when I go out in pyjama to the porch to discover new flowers that are in blossom. Could there be a better place on earth?
I have a lot of work on the fresh air, I have to fight with the weeds fostered by thoughtless neighbors, watering all flowerbeds and even my house need to refresh…
At my dacha I cook my modest meals by myself. This year I have a nice harvest of vegetables. Robust home-grown cauliflowers have quite a different flavor than the ones you buy in the store or in the marketplace. Self beans straight from the beds tastes completely different than that which awaits many hours before it reaches the store. I started also collection of ripe tomatoes, which I use to prepare delicious tomato salad with onion every day.
