It was snowing in the night. Believe or not, we started today at 8 am to spend 1, 5 hours in the Ulan Baatar traffic jams – just to get off 1,7 million city. Mongolia suffers from the lack of the fuel. On the route in many places I saw kilometers- long lines of the cars waiting for the fuel.
Only main roads are paved and of paved they do not go to the tourist attractions in the interior. First 4 hours we were traveling in the winter landscape. Just to remind you: ot was only 29th September
Vagi decided to drive on this first day of our expedition to the farthest point of our route – to the Flaming Cliffs ger camp. We reached this camp only at 6 pm. I received a single ger (that’s how the locals call the yurt) and after the simple meal I went to sleep.
