Strong sun from the early morning. The village lies on the few levels, connected by bumpy gravel zig-zag roads…. Somewhere in the middle you will find little square whith few shops and tiny building of administration. Around this building on Wednesday they have weekly market. It is Wednesday today! I went to the market to see few stalls with tomatoes (40 rou per kilo) grapes (50 per kilo) and apples 100 per 3 kilos. It was also good chance to see pretty local ladies in traditional costumes… Then I took the walk uphill to the oldest part of the village.
There are still stone houses, cemetery and old stone tower with little museum inside. You can see there the nterior of traditional locaçl house, old tooks, engraved plates… Stairs will take yiu to the viewing roof for the panoramic view – it is great and wirth 50 rou entry fee you pay. Kubachi (and many other mountain villages) are well known fir the home prodiction of silver jewellery. Ther is a little shop opposite the administration building where you can see and buy this u nique product. My host is one of the masters an showed me many nice pieces including ornatet swords…
