Another night on the Russian train. Kupe means 4-berth compartment. They are very hospitable: offering brandy and vodka plus bread and saussage… I landed in Pertozavodsk on the Onega Lake. This is the gateway to the famous museum of the wooden architecture on Kizhi Island – one of the 1600 islands on this beautiful lake. I was lucky: they still offered the boat hydrofoil tour to Kizhi – it cost hefty 2200 roubles round trip, but it is worth if you want to see the fascinating wooden churches placed on UNESCO World Heritage list. I will publish the pictures – then you will understand. Haavy rain in Petrozavodsk but great weather duryng my stay on Kizhi – I was lucky again – theank you for kjeeping your fingers crossed!
