Welcome to California! We are docking in Long Beach port – with a nice view of the old “Queen Mary” passenger ship converted onto museum and hotel.
At 10 am after 25 days we disembarked “Carnival Panorama”. From the internet I had ready the plan of public transport transfer to our motel near the airport. The forst stage was by shuttle bus to subway A station on the other side of the bay. No more pasport or customs control (we experienced it in Honolulu). But where is the shuttle??. The shuttle operates only 3 days per week. Not today. Bravo America! Do not trust internet!
I was lucky to find two ladies from China heading the same direction. We shared the uber car and this cost us 12 USD per person.
A room in the last expensive Motel 6 costs 85 USD for two. Tomorrow I am going to refresh memories on Hollywood!
