In the morning it was still raining around the Lake Bohinj so we decided to drive further west – to Kranjska Gora, little village with long history… Today it is tidy mountain resort making money on winter sports. The weather was better here. We took a walk around the old part of the village, enjoying the view of snowy peaks rising over the roofs.
In the afternoon there was still the time to take a little ride to the Nature Reserve of Zelenci – the wetland with nice green mini-lake, which always has the fixed 6 deg. water temperature around the whole year.
Just few kilometres away is Planica – ski jumping stadium. There are people in the world who know little about Slovenia, but they know Planica. Planica is not a settlement, there is no single accommodation. Just a stadium. When we reached Planica it was deserted – I did not see even security guards… It will alive only next winter…
