Hot Indonesia… I am going east – by land. There is no same – day bus connection to Ende – the route is too long. What I can do in one day is the 10 – hours drive to the mountain village of Bajawa. The only bus at 6 am is crampy – it costs 150000 INR. Narrow road climb the picturesque green mountains and goes down to the blue sea. They distribute sickness bags on theis bus because local ladies are not well – turns and switchbacks are all the way… And again up… Extremal humidity! You are sticked to the plastic- covered seat – but what a views! In Bajawa in the evening I bought mangoes, bananas and big papaya – they cost pennies far from the tourist places. Bread is expensive…
