Day of iguana

Do you remember the movie “Night of Iguana”?   I am still on Puerto Rico. Old San Juaswimminghe capital of the island has meny interesring monuments, but no beaches. To take a swim you have to go east – to the quarter of Condado. Public bus 53 will take you there for just 75 cents (exact change please!). Those, who prefere to walk can enjoy more views and to visit little San Geronimo fort built at the entrance to the Condado lagoon.  A pretty 80-cm long iguana was waiting there for me at the entrance. So I came to the conclusion -it will be Day of iguana.

After few pictures taken in the fort (there are solid, iron canons) was walking further east, between the luxury hotels and high appartament buildings. Condado reminds me Waikiki in Honolulu, but little scale.

Beaches are nice, waret warm like a soup, but due to the high waves there was red flag on display – not easy swimming. What I do not like here is the Cowd – it is better to walk furthrt east to the area of inexpensive Acacia Hotel to find wider beach and more privacy.
