Wojtek's travel log

Around St Croix island

St Croix – Holy Cross   or how Americans pronounce the name – St Croy – is less known of few US Virgin Islands. The only place to dock is in Frederiksted on the west coast where they built the jetty only few years ago. I convinced my Polish friends to rent the car and to drive around the island. Close to the jetty there are two rental offices of Avis and Alamo and they charge about 50 $ per day. Be radady to drive left side of the road!  We started alond south coast enjoying on the route nice Corina Bay:

Then we were heading to the eastern end of the island – they call it Udall Point and it is officially the easternmost tip of US territory.  There is a simple monument marking that place:

Czarek was driving very well so we still had enough time to see the cozy capital of the island, Columbus landing place, rum destillery (they sell their rum from 7 $ per 1 litre) and former sugar plantation.

Thank you, Iza and Czarek for your company and lovely excursion!
