The port of St Lucia is located in the picturesque bay. From the terminal ia about 2 kms walk to the city center. Taxi drivers are of course hunting for you at the ship. They wasn 150 USD per 4 hours island tour per cab or 60 for 2 hours -you have to bargain, bargain… I do not! I am the walker.

75 % of the island population are catholics. No wonder that th e Castries cathedral was full for the Sunday mass. It took 2 hours  from 8 am with nice singing. At the end black priests were greeting everybody at the entrance…

Then on the street I was asking the police officer where is the road exit to Fairview. -It is not safe to walk there alone! -Why? -You could be mugged. That’s what the police says on the peace island of St Lucia… I found my way anyway and s tarted to climb Morne Fortune for the view. On them hill the elegant residence of British Governer is located, but you can take the picture only through the gate..
